Description

Delicious and savory chicken patties glazed with a sweet and tangy sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chopped scallions
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Extra scallions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare Chicken Mixture:
In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, soy sauce, chopped scallions, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form Patties:
Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each into a patty form, about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Cook Patties:
Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add chicken patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and golden brown.
  4. Prepare Glaze:
In a small saucepan, mix honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and ginger powder.
Heat over medium-low heat until the mixture starts to simmer and thicken slightly.
  5. Glaze Patties:
Once the patties are cooked, brush them with the glaze generously on both sides.
Allow the patties to soak in the glaze for a couple of minutes.
  6. Garnish and Serve:
Transfer the glazed patties to a serving plate.
Sprinkle with extra chopped scallions for garnish.

Notes

  • Ensure the patties are of uniform thickness for even cooking.
  • Adjust the sweetness and saltiness of the glaze by modifying the honey and soy sauce ratio to your liking.
  • For a spicy kick, add a teaspoon of chili flakes to the glaze.
  • Serve with rice or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
