Description
A delicious pasta dish featuring steak and garlic butter.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine
- 12 oz sirloin steak
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente (8-10 minutes). Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak with salt and pepper, then sear for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned. Let rest before slicing.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Toss drained pasta with the garlic butter sauce, sliced steak, and chopped parsley. Add reserved pasta water as needed for creaminess.
- Serve topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
- For best results, let the steak rest before slicing to retain juices.
- Feel free to adjust the amount of garlic to taste.
