Description

Delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies that are soft in the center and golden at the edges.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 2 cups chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chunks.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls onto lined baking sheets, leaving space between them.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
  9. Allow to cool on wire racks.

Notes

  • For chewier cookies, bake a little less time.
