- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (light)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup dried cherries
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips and dried cherries.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized dollops onto prepared sheets, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- For best results, do not overbake the cookies to maintain a soft center.
