- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb sweet Italian sausage
- 1 cup onion (chopped)
- 4 cloves garlic
- 56 oz. can pureed tomatoes (2-28oz cans)
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 2 tsp dried basil
- 2 tsp dried parsley
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- more salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the ground beef and Italian sausage to the pan, breaking up as it cooks.
- Once meat is cooked through, drain off the excess oil.
- Pour meat into the bowl of the slow cooker.
- Stir in the onion, garlic, pureed tomatoes, salt, pepper, basil, parsley, and oregano.
- Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8.
- Add more salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve over your favorite pasta!
