Description

This delicious brioche French toast casserole is perfect for brunch or a special breakfast!


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf brioche bread
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Butter (for greasing)
  • Brown sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  3. Cut the brioche into thick slices and arrange in the greased baking dish. Pour the egg mixture over the bread, ensuring it’s soaked.
  4. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes or overnight in the refrigerator.
  5. Sprinkle brown sugar over the soaked bread before baking.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and custard is set.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
