Description

A spicy twist on classic deviled eggs using chipotle pepper and adobo sauce for a smokey flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 large hard-boiled eggs
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons adobo sauce (from canned chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, more to taste)
  • 1 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce (finely chopped)
  • Chopped parsley or cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Slice eggs in half lengthwise. Scoop out the yolks and place them in a medium bowl.
  2. Mash the yolks with a fork. Add mayonnaise, adobo sauce, and chipotle peppers. Stir well to blend all ingredients.
  3. Spoon or pipe the filling in the egg whites.
  4. Garnish with parsley or cilantro, if desired.
  5. Serve immediately or refrigerate in a tightly covered container.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of adobo sauce to taste depending on your heat preference.
  • For a creamier filling, you can add more mayonnaise.
