Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes (optional)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
- 10 hard taco shells
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 cup shredded lettuce (for serving)
- 1/2 cup sour cream or salsa (optional for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Drain excess fat, then stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer until thickened.
- Line a 9×13 baking dish with foil or parchment paper. Stand taco shells upright.
- Fill each shell with the beef mixture, then top with shredded cheese and optional diced tomatoes.
- Bake uncovered for 10–12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from oven, garnish with chopped cilantro, and serve hot with lettuce, sour cream, or salsa.
