Description

A delicious cheesy beef pasta bake that is easy to make and perfect for a family dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 15 ounces tomato sauce
  • 10 ounces cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 ounces rotini or elbow pasta
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked.
  3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the beef; cook until onions are soft and fragrant.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce, cream of mushroom soup, and sour cream. Mix until well combined.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, then let the mixture simmer on low heat for 5 minutes.
  6. While the beef simmers, cook the pasta until al dente according to package instructions. Drain well.
  7. In a large mixing bowl, combine the pasta with the beef mixture. Stir gently to coat.
  8. Transfer everything to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  9. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  10. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  11. Let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions, if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey for a lighter option.
  • Make sure to drain the pasta well to avoid a watery dish.
