Description

Delicious twists filled with marinated chicken and diced mango, encased in flaky puff pastry.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups diced mango
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, cornstarch, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  2. Add chicken strips and toss to coat completely then line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out puff pastry and cut into six equal rectangles.
  4. Place a few marinated chicken strips and spoon some diced mango onto each pastry rectangle.
  5. Fold each rectangle over the filling and twist both ends to form a spiral, then arrange twists on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Brush twists lightly with vegetable oil and sprinkle sesame seeds over the tops.
  7. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until pastry is golden and chicken is cooked through.
  8. Remove from oven and let rest 5 minutes, then garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
