Description

This creamy peanut butter frosting is perfect for cakes and cupcakes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 23 cups powdered sugar (plus more if needed)
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 24 tablespoons cream (or milk)

Instructions

  1. Beat the butter until fluffy.
  2. Beat in the peanut butter.
  3. Sift in 2 cups powdered sugar and the optional peanut butter powder.
  4. Add in the vanilla and salt.
  5. Beat together, starting with the mixer on a low speed.
  6. Beat in the milk/cream 1 tablespoon at a time, alternating with a little extra powdered sugar as needed until the desired sweetness and thickness is reached.

Notes

  • This frosting can be adjusted to your desired sweetness by adding more powdered sugar.
  • The optional peanut butter powder enhances the peanut flavor.
