Description

Delicious and easy-to-make cheesy chicken quesadilla wraps perfect for a quick meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or diced
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend)
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 jalapeño, minced (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling:

In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped cilantro, jalapeño (if using), ground cumin, and garlic powder. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  2. Assemble the Wraps:

Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spoon a generous amount of the chicken and cheese mixture onto the center of the tortilla. Fold in the sides of the tortilla and then roll it up tightly to form a wrap.

  3. Cook the Wraps:

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place the wraps seam-side down in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the tortillas are golden brown and the cheese has melted.

  4. Serving:

Remove the wraps from the skillet and let them cool slightly before slicing in half. Serve warm with additional sour cream or salsa on the side, if desired.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, use a panini press or grill the wraps.
  • Add some diced tomatoes or onions for extra flavor and texture.
  • Experiment with different cheeses like Monterey Jack or pepper jack for a different taste.
  • If you prefer spicier wraps, add more jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the filling.
